Lots on Old Hickory Lake often have big trees growing close to the house, the dock, or a retaining wall, with little room for heavy equipment. We take those trees down in controlled sections with rigging, protect everything under them, and clear the site completely when we’re done.
Wind off the water puts extra stress on lakeside trees. Our crew thins crowns to let the wind through, removes deadwood before storm season, and clears branches off power lines, using proper cuts that keep the tree healthy. We trim all over town, from Indian Lake to the streets along New Shackle Island Road.

Trees here face more weather than most in Middle Tennessee. The December 2023 tornado that tore through Madison and Hendersonville showed how fast a big tree can come down, and lakefront trees along Sanders Ferry Road and Rockland Road take wind off the water every season.
Away from the lake, in Indian Lake, Walton Ferry, Lakeside Park, and Durham Farms, the work is mostly crown reduction on big shade trees, stump grinding after old removals, and shaping younger plantings.
One thing lake owners should know: the strip along much of the shoreline is Corps of Engineers land, not part of your lot, and the Corps does not allow cutting trees there without its say-so.
